Local authorities have overarching responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people in their area.
Referral resources including managing allegations against staff, carers and volunteers who work with children and young people. An information guide for staff facing allegations and a form for referrals to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
The Children in Care Council is a group of Looked after Children and Young People who help to shape the care system. They are involved with policy changes, delivering training, interviewing new members of staff and getting the voices of Children and Young People heard. The group is made up of young people aged 11 to 18 years old who meet at least once a month.
The Care Leavers Forum meet monthly and their role is to evaluate their experiences of using services relevant to care-leavers.
