Normal open hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.00pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm with emergency out of hours operating outside of these times.
Wolverhampton City Council has wide-ranging responsibilities in working with children and families.
The law is clear that every local authority must protect the welfare of children in need in its area. To do this it must work with the family to provide support services that will enable children to be bought up within their own families and enable them to achieve optimal outcomes.
To achieve these outcomes, support services for children cannot be separated from services designed to investigate and protect children from deliberate harm.
The concept of safeguarding embraces all children including those who are defined as children in need and those who are suffering or are at risk of suffering significant harm and are in need of protection
