An online calendar will help decrease the council’s carbon footprint by not printing up to 110,000 paper calendars – reducing our environmental impact.
The move is also in response to the increasing demand for online access to council services and information, rather than distributing paper copies delivered by hand. We’re encouraging people to continue to use the popular bin collection dates finder. Residents can just put their postcode, select their address, and find out when their bin is scheduled to be collected.
We are aware that some households do not have access to the internet. Where this is the case, and family, friends or neighbours are unable to assist, residents can contact our Customer Services team on 01902 551155 and we’ll get a copy to them.
Other ways to get a paper copy:
- Residents can download a PDF version from our website and print it at home.
- Libraries will be able to signpost residents to our Customer Services team.
We hope this move gives residents the information they need at a touch of a button - 24 hours a day seven days a week - it also supports the council’s environment strategy.
