A HMO Licence is not transferable.

If you sell the property you cannot transfer the mandatory licence to the new owner. You must notify City of Wolverhampton Council if you have sold the HMO licensed property with immediate effect. City of Wolverhampton Council will revoke the licence and the new owner must submit a new application to apply for a HMO licence in order to continue using the property as a HMO.

The Licence against the property will end at the point of sale.
