The Families Working Together Team works with family members and significant others to help families identify ways they can work together to offer support to each other.
The team offers a number of approaches including family meetings, family group conferencing and mediation. A Family Group Conference is an opportunity to bring agencies together, with families, in an informal manner, to make decisions regarding the care and protection of the children and young people concerned. It involves inviting extended family members and other significant persons into the process in order to plan for the future of well-being of the family. Our trained Mediators will also provide support to family members who need help resolving conflict and dispute.
Make a referral
Referrals for a Family Group Conference (FGC) or Mediation should be made via the allocated worker.
