Occupational Therapy Team

Our Occupational Therapy Team are healthcare professionals who specialise in helping people with physical, mental, or developmental challenges to maximise independence and quality of life.

If you or someone you care for has a long-term health condition, disability, or illness, or if you are responsible for a child with such a condition, here's how our Occupational Therapy service can assist:

  1. Assessment: We will conduct a thorough assessment to understand your unique needs, challenges, and goals. This may include evaluating physical abilities, cognitive functions, and the home environment. This may be completed over the phone, in one of our clinics or in your own home.
  2. Equipment Recommendations: Based on the assessment, we can recommend assistive devices or equipment that can enhance independence. This could include items like mobility aids (sticks, walkers), toileting equipment and bathing equipment.
  3. Home Modifications: If necessary, we can suggest home modifications to make your living environment more accessible and safe. This may involve installing ramps, grab bars, widening doorways, or making changes to the layout of your home.

Occupational therapy is a valuable service for individuals and families dealing with long-term health conditions or disabilities, as it can significantly improve the quality of life and promote independence.
