Council Tax Discretionary Discount

To help residents to reduce their Council Tax we have a Discretionary Discount Policy where we may reduce your council tax bill in certain circumstances and a Council Tax Support Scheme which is based on income and household circumstances.

Council Tax Support Scheme

The Council Tax Support (CTS) scheme can reduce the amount of Council Tax that low-income households have to pay. City of Wolverhampton Council residents can apply for Council Tax Support to help reduce the amount they have to pay in Council Tax. If you have a low income you can apply for a reduction.

We also have a Discretionary Discount Policy where we may reduce your council tax bill in certain circumstances including if you are in financial hardship. For more information, please view the policy in the Downloads section below.
