To prevent more hospitalisations this winter there is an urgency to get as many people vaccinated as possible. Therefore, we require completed application forms to be submitted by 30th June, 5pm.
If you require support in completing the application or have any questions, please contact the team through communities@wolverhampton.gov.uk
Applications will have to undergo some initial assessments before an independent panel can make their decision. As we are fast tracking the application process to release the funds to you as soon as possible we are reviewing applications on a weekly basis.
Therefore successful applicants will be informed 7–10 working days after the form is submitted.
We will make contact and ask you to fill in a form with your organisation’s bank account details. At this stage you will be notified terms and conditions of payment and how future additional payments of £35 will be made.
If you pass the checks, you will be notified via email, and the funds for £1,000 will be sent via a BACS transfer directly to your bank account within seven working days.
Funds can be spent of various materials and resources needed for activity or events to help get people vaccinated. This can include for example volunteer or staff expenses, marketing or communications materials, translated documents, social media/website content including videos or funding for an interpreter. Activity can be flexible and outcomes should address vaccine hesitancy and support access to the vaccine in communities. If unsure please email: communities@wolverhampton.gov.uk
We are looking for innovative and create ideas to help get Wolverhampton residents vaccinated. Over the coming weeks we will be hosting Covid Vaccine Information sessions and inviting all successful applicants to join online sessions via Microsoft Teams. Access to a phone or computer device with internet will be required. These sessions will inform you about the latest Covid guidance and resources you can use to help your activities/event to get Wolverhampton residents vaccinated.
Supporting evidence to show the progress of your activity will be required. Therefore, if succesful, we will ask you to provide an update of your activity using a Reporting Form on a monthly basis detailing activity and dates together with how many people you have given your *unique identification code to.
Every time an unvaccinated person gives their unique identification code to a member of staff at any one of the vaccination centres in Wolverhampton this will trigger a £35 payment to be made to your organisation.
*Unique Identification Code – Each successful organisation will be given a unique Identification code that is easy to remember for unvaccinated residents and will be used throughout this project.
Please note a bulk payment for every vaccinated person will be made every two weeks or monthly to ease the number of transactions that need to be processed. Additional payments are dependant on how many, if any people are supported or influenced to get vaccinated.
