The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is working with Local Authorities to improve the accuracy of Housing Benefit (HB) awards.
DWP has rolled out the Housing Benefit Accuracy Award (HBAA) initiative nationwide.
City of Wolverhampton will start to review claims from November. The aim is to review that the information we hold is current. The checks will reduce the chance of you receiving too much or too little benefit if you delay in reporting a change in circumstances.
There is no need for you to contact us. If we need you to complete a review form, we will send a Housing Benefit full case review letter and a follow up phone call. The letter will include a reference to a web page, where you will be asked to complete the review form online.
