The activities, many of which are free and include food, run from Wednesday 27 December to Friday 5 January, 2024, and range from sports, photography and arts and crafts, to dance and drama workshops.
Among the highlights are martial arts with Wolverhampton Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a cinema trip and SEN Play with Let Us Play, Street Dance with Revolution Dance, music with Beetsa Bar and football and games with Active Futures. Real Arts Workshop is also running a photography masterclass. Full details are available at Yo! Wolverhampton Young Opportunities.
Councillor Chris Burden, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “Following the great success of Yo! Wolves this year, which saw more youngsters than ever before joining in with our school holiday programmes, we’re thrilled to be offering more brilliant activities organised by a host of fantastic local organisations over the Christmas holidays.
“Many of these activities will continue throughout the 2024 school holidays, so it’s not just a one off experience, it’s a chance for youngsters to try something new, skill up and keep it up next year.
“So we are delighted that, by once again working with city partners and with funding from the council and the Department for Education, we can deliver another fun packed programme including food, ensuring that opportunities are available and accessible in every area of Wolverhampton.
“There’s a lot going on, so please take a look and get involved in the Yo! Christmas activities!”
