WV Active, based at Aldersley, Central and Bilston are just one of the many local organisations, providing hundreds of activities, many of them free, that have been held across the city for all ages this summer.
Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Public Wellbeing, said: “It’s been great to see many young people and their families enjoy the free activities across our 3 centres during the summer holidays.
“From family swims, youth gym sessions, racket sports to arts and crafts, there has been something for everyone.
“I enjoyed visiting WV Central to see families and staff enjoying one of the many free swimming sessions. Hopefully these sessions have not only been fun but have also given us some encouragement to get into healthier habits like regular exercise.”
Christopher Sandel, Operations Manager for WV Active, added: “Our aim this summer has quite simply been to encourage people to be more active and we are delighted to be part of Yo! Wolves to deliver a free programme that has been available to all ages.
“We have a whole range of activities planned term time too and another exciting school holiday programme ready for the half term school holidays in October. Find out via our website.”
