The event, organised by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and the Tennis Foundation, gives people young and old the chance to try out cardio tennis, mini tennis and disability tennis and receive some expert coaching.
The Great British Tennis Weekend, which takes place at the courts in West Park and East Park from 10am to 12pm, is the fourth of 4 such weekends which have been held around the country this year, and all activities are free.
Keely Fowler, LTA regional tennis participation manager, said: "It's great to see so many people grabbing a racket and getting involved in our Great British Tennis Weekends.
"People of all ages and abilities, young and old, parent and child, are taking this opportunity to visit their local court for a wide variety of fun and free tennis activities, and I'd encourage as many people as possible to join us at West or East Park this Sunday."
Rackets and balls will be provided, enabling those that attend and have never tried playing tennis before to get involved straight away and not be limited by their ability, age or experience.
