The idea is the brainchild of comedian Jason Manford, who built on his philosophy of ‘build it (make it really funny) and they will come!’. Over the last 5 years, the comedy club has employed hundreds of comedians to entertain over 80,000 people in 70 different locations across the country.
Every show has a different line up of 4 top comedians, all chosen by Jason Manford, featuring the best of the UK and international comedy circuit. The first showing in the Black Country will feature top acts Barry Dodds, Louise Young, Sachin Kumarendran, and Julian Deane.
Councillor Chris Burden, Cabinet Member for City Development, Jobs, and Skills said: “This is the first time Manford’s Comedy Club has made its way to the Black Country and what better venue could they have picked than Bilston Town Hall.
“Our iconic Grade II listed building has been putting on some fantastic shows for the people of Bilston and Wolverhampton for years, and we are so excited to be partnering with the team at Manford’s Comedy Club to bring their iconic show to the Town Hall.
“I’d encourage everyone to get their ticket as soon as possible for what I’m sure will be a sellout.”
Lyndsey Holt, Company Director at Manford’s Comedy Club said: “We have been searching for the perfect venue to bring Manford’s Comedy Club to the Black Country and knew we had found the one after a visit to Bilston Town Hall.
“We are so excited for the show in October and hope people of Bilston come out in force to show their support.”
The show takes place on Friday 18 October, with tickets costing £16.73 (includes booking fee). Doors open at 7pm with the show set to start at 8pm.
