Children and teachers donned costumes from the Sixties, Seventies, Eighties, Nineties and Noughties as St Alban's CE Primary in Ashmore Park celebrated 50 years since the school first opened its doors back in 1965.
They also enjoyed a delicious themed buffet, with much of the food and drink prepared by the pupils themselves, before the children took parents, carers and specially invited guests on "A Voyage Through the Decades".
Head of School Jo Jones said: "Everyone had a wonderful time as we marked St Alban's 50th anniversary, and it was great to see the children getting so involved in the celebrations.
"They prepared much of the food themselves as part of their Food Technology, Mathematics and Science classes; for instance our nursery pupils visited Essington Fruit Farm to pick strawberries which they then made into jam, while pupils in other classes prepared sandwiches, salads, fruit platters, cakes and other party fare.
"We also invited along an ice cream van so the children - and teachers - could cool off in the heat.
"As part of the celebrations, our pupils have been learning about events which have taken place in each of the 5 decades since St Alban's opened, and as well as coming to the party in some wonderful period costumes, they gave a short presentation to their parents and other guests about the particular decade they had been studying."
Representatives of the Diocese of Lichfield and the Mayor of Wolverhampton Councillor Ian Brookfield were on hand to join in with the celebrations.
Councillor Brookfield, who helped pupils cut a special birthday cake, said: "I was delighted to be invited to help St Alban's celebrate their special anniversary, and it was lovely to meet the pupils who were a credit to their school."
