The Leadership Team at Oak Meadow Primary School received the award for ‘Income Innovator of the Year’ at the show, held at the NEC recently.
Headteacher Simon Arnold, who collected the award on behalf of the Ashmore Park school's children and staff, said: "This award is significant as it recognises the impact of the school’s innovations, particularly our A Million Dreams Art Gallery learning event held earlier this year.
"The project focused upon our children’s aspirations and was inspired by the work of traditional and contemporary artists, with pupils producing some mind blowing art work and sculptures.
"This award is dedicated to the hard work of all our staff who consistently seize new challenges and ideas with such eagerness and keenness. It also recognises the continual support of our parents and carers, and most importantly our outstanding children who, through their amazing resilience and enthusiasm, rise majestically to all new challenges."
Emma Bennett, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Director of Children's Services, said: "It's great to see such innovative work taking place in our city's schools, and in particular to be able to showcase the talents of the pupils at Oak Meadow in this way."
Pupils at Oak Meadow are already looking forward to their next learning events, which include The Winter Wonderland Experience next month, The University of Oak Meadow in February and an Olympics themed week, Beautifully Different, Wonderfully the Same, in May.
