Representatives from Wolverhampton City Council's Children's Service and Human Resources department will be on hand to highlight jobs available in the city at the Compass Birmingham Jobs Fair for the social care sector taking place at the Thinktank, Millennium Point.
As well as finding out about existing vacancies and having the opportunity to speak to employees already working in Wolverhampton, job hunters will also be encouraged to put their details on file via a "talent pool" so they can be alerted to new vacancies which suit their skills as soon as they become available.
Councillor Val Gibson, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said: "We are attending this national event to promote the opportunities we currently have within our Children's Service and to build a database of suitably qualified and experienced candidates so we can fill future vacancies as quickly as possible.
"We're keen to hear from talented social care professionals looking for opportunities in our Children in Need and Child Protection, Fostering and Adoption, Leaving Care and Looked After Children services. It's a chance for the right people to make a real difference."
