The café is now open for longer with food and drink served from 9am to 4pm. It is also open 7 days a week whereas previously it was closed on Mondays.

Councillor Elias Mattu, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Leisure and Communities, said: "The café is tremendously popular, and rightfully so, as it is well known for the excellent quality and value of the food and drink on its menu.

"People have been asking us for some time to extend the opening hours, and I'm delighted that we are able to do so.

"The new breakfast menu, featuring breakfast sandwiches, traditional cooked breakfasts and healthier options like muesli with fresh fruit, is very good value, and increases the already extensive range of options available to visitors, which includes toasted sandwiches, salads, full meals and, of course, delicious homemade cakes."

The café at Bantock House is one of the most popular in Wolverhampton, with an average TripAdvisor rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Councillor Mattu added: "We are working hard to develop the range of activities on offer at Bantock House Museum and to give families an excuse to come back again and again. The café is just one great reason to visit this fantastic attraction."
