It will offer first, second and booster Pfizer vaccinations from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
People aged 16 and over are able to get a first and second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Anyone aged 40 and over, or otherwise eligible, can also get the booster 6 months after their second dose. Children aged 12 to 15 can get a single dose if they haven’t been vaccinated in school, though they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: "We are delighted to have been able to work with the Black Country and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group to open this new walk-in vaccination centre, making it even easier for people to get their life-saving Covid-19 jabs.
"So, if you are in the city centre for work, shopping or leisure and you are due your second dose, your booster, or haven't yet had your first jab, please pop into the Mander Centre and get vaccinated as soon as possible."
Sally Roberts, Chief Nursing Officer for NHS Black Country and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “It’s fantastic that our new vaccination site in Wolverhampton’s Mander Centre is now open for walk-in appointments.
“Having a site located in this prime position will ensure local people have easier access to vaccinations, where they can drop in for a vaccine at a time that is convenient for them, or even while they’re out doing their Christmas shopping.
“I would like to thank the City of Wolverhampton Council and the Mander Centre for hosting the vaccination site, and would encourage anyone who is due a vaccine to come and pay us a visit.
“Getting the vaccine is the best way to protect yourself, your friends and your family, especially as we approach Christmas, so please don’t delay and come forward as soon as possible.”
The walk-in vaccination centre is located on the Upper Mall, Central Arcade, opposite Rymans. Vaccinations are available to anyone aged 12 and over without the need to make an appointment. Visitors are asked to wear face coverings unless they are exempt for medical reasons.
The vaccination centre will be open for 8 weeks. Other walk-in sites continue to operate in Wolverhampton. To find your nearest, go to Find a walk-in coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination site. To book an appointment, please visit Book or manage a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination or call 119.
