A choice of turkey and all the trimmings, festive pork or a vegetarian option, followed by Christmas pudding or trifle are on the menu this year.
Many Meals on Wheels customers will be visiting family or friends on Christmas Day, but for around 120 others they will be relying on the city council to provide dinner on the big day.
Councillor John Reynolds, cabinet member for city services, said: "We always put on a Christmas menu and of course the most popular option is turkey and all the trimmings. Our drivers are out there delivering on Christmas day and they will pull a cracker with the customer as well as serve them their food.
"Our team of drivers are incredibly dedicated and love their jobs. They really care about the customers and know that spending a few minutes having a chat and checking how they are can mean the world - especially when you consider some of these elderly people might not see anyone else all day.
"We are very proud of our track record of never missing a delivery - so even if it is a white Christmas and it snows - we will get a hot meal to our Meals on Wheels customers."
