Contractors Kiely Bros Ltd has transformed key routes including Finchfield Road, Broad Lane and Bradmore Road.
The routes were revamped via surface dressing and micro-asphalt works, preventing oxidation and water ingress and extending the life of the carriageway for 8 or more years.
Carrying out the works during the lockdown period meant the works were complete with minimised disruption and ahead of schedule.
Councillor Steve Evans, Cabinet Member for City Environment at City of Wolverhampton Council said: “I’m pleased to see improvement works have been underway during lockdown, making way for smoother journeys across Wolverhampton.
“It made perfect sense to carry out these works while the roads were quieter while minimising disruption to road users.
“It’s important our roads are maintained for health and safety reasons as well as showing our residents and visitors that we are taking pride in our city.
“I would like to thank our contractors and key workers who have continued to work during this time, to carry out these essential works to keep our residents and visitors safe on our roads.”
Preventative maintenance works will continue to be carried out across key routes in the city.
