The Arts and Museums service organises regular talks on a wide variety of historical subjects - and they are proving a hit with the public, regularly attracting full houses.
The first talk at Wolverhampton City Archives on Thursday 7 June, from 11am, will see Jeremey Walters look at Wolverhampton history and uncover secrets that may be unknown to some. £2 per person.
In the second, on Wednesday 13 June at 5.30pm, Chris Twiggs will be looking at 'The Home Front 1914 to 1918: The view from Finchfield House', which will examine the impact of the Great War on the Sankey family and their business interests, how Joseph Sankey and Sons Ltd steadily expanded in the years leading to the Great War, going on to become a major supplier of a wide range of products to the armed forces - most notably in manufacturing steel helmets.
Heidi McIntosh, Senior Archivist at Wolverhampton City Archives, said: "This continuing programme of talks is proving incredibly popular, with many drawing capacity crowds - so if you want to take part, please make sure you reserve your place early to avoid disappointment."
