Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka from In the Night Garden, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Peppa and George Pig and Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol will be among the line up for the event on Saturday 6 August, 2016, from 10am to 6pm.
The event is now in its seventh year and other attractions sure to keep the whole family entertained include sport taster sessions, an inflatable assault course and bouncy castle, Megasaur slide, quad bikes, laser tag, bungee trampolines, paintball and face painting.
Signal 107 will be broadcasting live from West Park on the day, and there will also be entertainment on stage courtesy of Light House.
Younger visitors even have their own early years marquee sponsored by Shooting Stars Nursery with a ball pool, soft play area with Hartbeeps and Slingswing demos supported by the Wolverhampton branch of the NCT, which is also providing a baby change and feeding area.
PC Joe Trusselle from Wolverhampton Police said: "The Family Fun Day gets bigger and better. Last year's event was a real success with over 5,000 visitors from across the city, and we're hoping to welcome even more to this year's show on Saturday 6 August.
"With inflatable assault courses and bouncy castles, sports sessions and of course guest appearances by children's favourites from TV and cinema, it will be fantastic fun for all the family."
Councillor Val Gibson, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: "We are delighted to welcome back the Family Fun Day to West Park again this year. There's plenty of attractions for people of all ages which promises a great day out for everyone."
Entry is free though charges for individual activities apply, starting from just £1. Money raised from the event will go towards the Wolverhampton MS Therapy Centre, the Wolverhampton branch of the NCT and the Bilston and District Soroptomists.
