Adult learners can keep learning, keep active and keep safe with Adult Education Wolverhampton, which has responded to social distancing restrictions to launch a flexible, free online offer.

The courses are aimed at people who want to learn something new, develop their job skills or look after their wellbeing.

Subjects include family learning, language support, work skills and improving your mental and physical wellbeing, with new courses being added all the time. For full details, please visit the Adult Education Wolverhampton website

Councillor Dr Michael Hardacre, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: “Despite the lockdown, we want to continue to provide students with the opportunity to learn valuable new skills and continue to take part in high quality teaching delivered by Adult Education Wolverhampton’s experienced and engaging teachers.

“Students will be able to study and take part in these short courses at a pace and a time to suit them in the comfort of their own homes. All they need is a computer with a microphone and camera, email address and an internet connection to take part.

“The courses are free and will keep people engaged in learning, help them stay mentally and physically active and prove useful additions to their CV, too.”

As well as the new online courses, teachers from Adult Education Wolverhampton are using a variety of methods to keep in touch with current students and provide them with continuing learning opportunities and support during the coronavirus emergency.
