The Care Partnership in partnership with Shaw Trust staged this year's event, at which over 300 job opportunities were available.
Around 30 exhibitors from across Wolverhampton showcased the job opportunities in the care sector available to city jobseekers.
They were impressed by the quality of the candidates and several were offered jobs and interviews on the day.
Exhibitors included 247 Professional Healthcare, Accord Care, Wolverhampton's Fostering Agency, Progress Care, Woodford Homecare and many more. Those attending had the opportunity to meet with these employers on a one to one basis to find out more.
A range of entry level jobs were available, including caring jobs in residential care homes, care support workers for people of all ages and domiciliary care jobs caring for people in their own homes.
Residents were able to get advice on training and find out how best to access careers in care from organisations and training providers including Wolves at Work, City of Wolverhampton College, Job Change, Shaw Trust and Steps to Work.
John Harper, from 247 Professional Health Care, said: "It's was great to be part of the careers fair which was solely focused on care, we had some fantastic candidates attend and managed to fill seven of our vacancies."
Councillor Lynne Moran, City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, added: "We have an ambitious long-term plan to encourage enterprise, empower people, reinvigorate our city and improve the prosperity of businesses and residents - and this event supports that.
"Yesterday's event provided an excellent opportunity for people looking for work in the care sector or people who perhaps want a change of direction or are thinking of taking up further training or education."
The event was supported by Shaw Trust and Steps to Work, the Department for Work and Pensions and the City of Wolverhampton Council.
A dedicated website Type=links;Linkid=9951;Title=Workbox;Target=_blank; has been developed by partners to provide information about careers in care and to inform residents about many other opportunities available to them.
