The Employment and Skills Event, aimed at people aged between 16 and 25, will take place at the Newhampton Arts Centre, Newhampton Road, Wolverhampton on 4 December from 2pm to 6pm.
The event has been organised by Whitmore Reans Local Neighbourhood Partnership, with the support of partners and will feature a series of workshops on interview techniques and skill development, speakers and events.
Employers will also be attending to showcase the job vacancies they currently have on offer.
Speakers who are attending include Midland Heart, Mears, who are contactors for Midland Heart, a local housing builder Keepmoat and Sainsbury's, who are currently building a new supermarket in the city centre.
Councillor Elias Mattu, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Leisure and Communities, said: "We are committed to reinvigorating the city and supporting people to get into work or training to boost their career prospects.
"This event is the ideal chance for local young people to get the relevant advice and support they need to help them achieve their aims.
"I would encourage young people from across the city to attend and make the most of this opportunity."
