Visit the city centre market on Saturday 21, Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25, Friday 27 and Saturday 28 October - and as well picking up your great value produce you can join in the Halloween fun.
Children can take part in spooky ghost hunts around the market, solving clues to spell Halloween themed words, with all correct answers rewarded with tasty treats.
Entries will be accepted for the pumpkin carving competition on Saturday 28 October, with the first prize of a family ticket to this year's pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. Second place will win a £50 Waterstones gift voucher and third place will bag a family pass to Air Space in Wednesfield.
The popular colouring competition is also back and open to children aged up to 16. The winner of the best coloured-in spooky pumpkin will win a £100 book voucher for their school and an art kit for themselves. Entries must be submitted at City of Wolverhampton Market by 2pm on Saturday 28 October. The winner will be selected by the Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Elias Mattu, and contacted after the event.
City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Environment, Councillor Steve Evans, said: "Our traders at the city centre market are really getting into the spirit of Halloween by making sure there will be chills and thrills this half term for the whole family.
"With plenty of spooky goings on it's a great way to keep the children entertained and get involved in the fun.
"While they are there they can bag some scarily impressive bargains on fresh fruit, meat, and fish, and other goods."
As well as competitions, there will be crafts, face painting, games and kids' rides to enjoy.
