The city’s Festival of Food & Drink is back, bigger and better than ever, on Saturday 6 July and Sunday 7 July (12pm to 8pm on both days), offering an amazing weekend experience for the whole family. Enjoy the best of street food, a top selection of bars, an amazing programme of live music and entertainment and family friendly activities. Visitors can take advantage of a free afternoon of horse racing at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Tuesday 23 July; discounted tickets to the Speedway on Monday 22 July; and reduced prices to see comedy drama Educating Rita and Hair The Musical at The Grand Theatre.
Arts enthusiasts can take in the outstanding Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery (29 June to 1 September) and enjoy a live broadcast from the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Light House on Wednesday 31 July.
Music and comedy is in abundance at the Slade Rooms, and regional treasure Doreen Tipton will be giving her State of the Nation Lecture at Bilston Town Hall on Saturday 13 July.
Entertain the children at Wolverhampton Fiesta on Saturday 13 July and Sunday 14 July at West Park, and at the giant indoor sandpit in the Mander Shopping Centre from Monday 22 July or celebrate 50 years of the moon landing by visiting Scifest at Wolverhampton University on Saturday 6 July.
Six weeks of creative holiday activities for all ages begin at Wolverhampton Art Gallery on Tuesday 23 July.
Free behind the scenes tours are available at Bank’s Brewery and Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.
