The pools attract thousands of visitors every year, and Councillor Elias Mattu, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Leisure and Communities, said: "Tettenhall Pool and East Park Pool always prove very popular and really draw the crowds when the sun comes out.
"They are particularly idyllic spots to enjoy a picnic or a spot of sunbathing and so we're hoping that we'll have a long, hot summer which gives people plenty of opportunity to enjoy them."
Work has been underway to prepare the pools for the last month, with engineers carrying out maintenance work, testing pumping mechanisms and filling the pools with thousands of gallons of water.
Tettenhall Pool holds 153,978 gallons of water - the equivalent of 1,231,842 pints -and because of its size took around a week to fill. The smaller East Park Pool holds approximately 32,995 gallons, or 263,960 pints.
The pools will then remain open throughout the summer season.
