Young people aged 8 to 16 were invited to take on the challenge posed by the 12 metre long course, nicknamed Double Trouble, in the special Aqua Run sessions held last month.
And thanks to their positive feedback, bosses have revealed that regular Aqua Run sessions are set to take place at Bert Williams Leisure Centre on Sunday afternoons - and this time there's also an invitation for families to join in the fun.
Facility Manager Alison Compton said: "We brought in Double Trouble over the Easter holidays to see what the young people thought of it, and it was very clear that they absolutely loved it.
"Double Trouble proved a massive hit with our younger visitors; a total of 169 people took up the challenge and had a huge amount of fun at the same time.
"So we are delighted to announce that we will be launching family friendly Aqua Run sessions every Sunday afternoon from this Sunday 11 May - and for the first time we'll be opening it up to mums and dads to join in the fun, too."
Competitors must jump, crawl and slide from one end of the course to the other - without falling into the water below. And with two lanes, people can also race against friends or family.
To add to the fun, a wide range of inflatables and other swim toys, including hoops, balls, floats and woggles, will be available.
Two Aqua Run sessions will take place at Bert Williams Leisure Centre every Sunday, starting at 3.15pm and 4.45pm, and will be open to children and young people aged 8 to 16, as well as their parents.
Please note that for health and safety reasons children under the age of 8 are not able to take part, though they are invited to enjoy their own play session with the inflatables and swim toys in the Studio Pool every Sunday from 1pm to 2pm and 2pm to 3pm.
Aqua Run sessions cost £3.50 per person and should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment by calling 01902 552430.
Please note that public swimming sessions at Bert Williams Leisure Centre will not take place in the main pool on Sundays between 2.30pm and 6.30pm while the Aqua Run sessions are taking place.
