The City of Wolverhampton Council is appealing for volunteer drivers to join the team who transport children and young people to and from school, and adults to and from day services.

To become a Children and Family Support Volunteer, drivers must have their own transport and comprehensive insurance, and will receive 52p per mile expenses as well as child protection, safeguarding, health and safety and first aid training to enable to them to carry out this important role.

Councillor Val Gibson, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: "We would love to hear from anyone who has their own vehicle, enjoys driving and wants to give something back to the local community by joining our excellent team of volunteers who transport children to and from school in Wolverhampton and further afield, and adults to and from day opportunities."
