The event, organised by Wolverhampton Civic and Historical Society, is part of the city's Armed Forces Day celebrations.
It will be led by Quintin Watt, from the civic and historical society, who will take participants on a tour of 15 memorials located in the city centre.
The tour will include official monuments as well as personal tributes to lost loved ones.
Quintin said: "Some memorials are on public view, whereas others are less obvious; concealed in churches or businesses. The trail will include monuments made by renowned craftsmen, in stone, bronze and stained glass and it will appeal to anyone with an interest in the culture of remembrance that developed during and after the war.
"Some of the memorials we aim to visit include the Little's Lane 'street shrine', the memorials to the staff of the Express and Star newspaper and the old National Provincial Bank, as well as those inside various city centre churches."
People should meet outside the main entrance to the Civic Centre, St Peter's Square ready for a prompt 2pm start. The trail will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
The event is part of the lead up to Armed Forces Day on Saturday 30 June which will see a military parade, stalls, performances and entertainment for all the family centred around Queen Square. For more information visit Type=links;Linkid=10600;Title=Wolverhampton Armed Forces;Target=_blank;.
