Musical entertainment, a fantastic range of stalls and family fun attractions will be on offer in Wednesfield at the end of this month.

Wednesfield Village Market, in partnership with City of Wolverhampton Council, is organising the Family Fun Day on Saturday 31 July from 10am to 2pm in the High Street.

Free attractions include musical entertainment, a face painter, balloon modeller, the Black Country’s own dancing grannies and singer Chris Westwood.

There will also be a wide variety of community stalls, including Wednesfield in Bloom, as well as our new young traders’ event which welcomes products from traders aged between 16 and 30.

Councillor Steve Evans, City of Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member for city environment and climate change, said: “This promises to be a lovely community event and one that the whole family can enjoy.

“We’ve got a lot of exciting stalls and entertainment as well as the introduction of our young traders’ event, which will allow our young business brains to show off their products and ideas.

“I’m also delighted to see that there will be a stall from Wednesfield in Bloom. The events of the past 18 months have meant that we’ve not been able to hold a judging day this year, so it’s wonderful to see them join in this event.

“The Family Fun Day is just one of the ways we’re working hard to relight our city. I hope it will be an enjoyable day for all and, although restrictions are easing, I would still ask people to think about the comfort and safety of others when attending.”

As the Wednesfield Family Fun Day event is likely to be busy, visitors are encouraged to keep to a safe distance. You may also wish to consider wearing a face covering if possible.
