In the city centre, parking will be free on Sundays at some council sites, starting this Sunday (8 December) up until and including 5 January, 2025.
There will also be free city centre parking after 4pm on weekdays from Monday 16 December, up to and including Friday 3 January, 2025 - which coincides with late night shopping centre hours.
These offers apply only at the following City of Wolverhampton Council car parks:
- Bell Street car park
- Temple Street car park
- Snow Hill Market car park
- Tempest Street car park
- Peel Street car park
- Market Street car park
Free all day parking will be available every day from Sunday 8 December, up to and including Friday 3 January, 2025, in Wednesfield town centre.
This applies to the following council car parks in Wednesfield:
- Woodhouse Fold ‘Steph Clark’ car park A
- Woodhouse Fold ‘Battle of Wodensfield’ car park B
- Woodhouse Fold ‘William ‘Harry’ Busby’ car park C
- Alfred Squire Road car park
There is already free parking available at council car parks in other district centres around Wolverhampton.
Councillor Qaiser Azeem, City of Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member for transport and green city, said: “There is plenty going on in our city centre and towns with events to help you get into the seasonal spirit, so I really hope people take advantage of the free parking offer and enjoy a happy Christmas.
“The offer also runs into the early part of January so that people can save a little bit extra when they hit the shops for the New Year sales.”
