People looking to gain a new qualification or skill, take up a hobby or improve their health and wellbeing are encouraged to find out about the courses on offer at Wolverhampton's "outstanding" Adult Education Service.
It is holding information and enrolment days today (Tuesday 10 February) and tomorrow (Wednesday 11 February), with experts on hand to discuss the various options available to prospective learners and answer any questions they may have.
The Adult Education Service, rated "outstanding" by Ofsted following an inspection published last month, offers a wide range of courses including art and crafts, creative studies, languages, English, Maths, ICT, business administration, teaching and care.
Many courses lead to national qualifications, while others offer people the chance to learn for fun. Specific courses providing preparation for higher education or work and employment are also available.
Councillor Phil Page, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Schools, Skills and Learning, said: "Wolverhampton Adult Education Service offers a great range of academic and vocational courses, everything from languages to art and crafts such as floristry and cookery.
"Enrolling on an Adult Education course is an excellent way to learn new skills and potentially open new doors for people.
"It could give you a nationally recognised qualification, or lead you into higher education. Specific courses prepare learners for work and employment, helping with CV writing, interview skills and training. Many of these courses are free, depending upon individual's circumstances.
"And of course you can also simply learn for fun, and perhaps make new friends along the way."
He added: "Our Adult Education Service was judged to be outstanding by Ofsted following its recent inspection, making it among the very best education providers in the country, so now is a great time to consider joining one of its courses."
The information and enrolment days are being held at the City Learning Quarter, Old Hall Street, today (Tuesday 10 February, 2015) from 10am to 7pm and tomorrow (Wednesday 11 February, 2015) from 10am to 4pm.
