Labour Party held their seat in the Blakenhall ward following a by-election.
The by-election was held yesterday (Thursday) to elect a new councillor for the ward, following the resignation of Bob Jones, who is now the Police and Crime Commissioner for the West Midlands.
Labour candidate Harbans Singh Bagri polled 1934 votes to claim the vacant seat while UK Independence Party candidate David Mackintosh polled 263 votes in second place.
Conservative candidate Stephen Dion polled 242 votes while Eileen Birch, for the Liberal Democrats, polled 89 votes.
The overall turnout was 29.68 per cent.
