Lotus Sanctuary has raised £5,500 to help provide wellbeing activities for rough sleeping women, with arts classes already being provided for a group of women.
The Christmas Lunch Project has also hit its £1,500 target to help feed some of City of Wolverhampton’s most vulnerable families on Christmas Day.
Councillor Harman Banger, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: “Through Crowdfund Wolves we are helping connect people, ideas and support to enable city residents to turn ideas into reality and shape City of Wolverhampton’s future.
“These projects are also providing valuable support to families across the city and helping them thrive.
“We want to tap into the passion and unearth more of the local talent, innovation and creativity we know exists in the city.
“Anyone can create a project idea and anyone can pledge their support to an idea.”
There are five more projects in the current round still in need of further support, with the option to donate online from as little as £2.
The 5 projects are:
- ‘Wodenstock’ Music Festival in Wednesfield
- Huggle Pets’ Community Aquarium and Sensory Room
- Project Give’s ‘Making Periods Green’ seeking to reduce period waste
- ‘Growing Spaces’ in Penn Fields
- Flour Power
The council works jointly with the Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council (WVSC) to develop this platform.
Crowdfund Wolves Projects have to reach 100 per cent of their target to receive any of the money pledged.
