Children can go dotty at a drop in workshop as part of a host of half term Halloween fun at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

Inspired by the gallery's Roy Lichtenstein exhibition and the use of Ben-Day dots in his works, a dotty day is being held on Monday 24 October.

Young visitors can have their faces painted in a dotty cartoon style and make fabulous fun pictures inspired by the exhibition ARTIST ROOMS: Roy Lichtenstein. The drop in sessions cost £2.

Both Bilston Craft Gallery, in Mount Pleasant and Wolverhampton Art Gallery, in Lichfield Street, host craft sessions on Thursday 27 October.

Craftplay Halloween Goops, Gunks and Slimes at Bilston from 10.30am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 3pm gives babies and young children a chance to discover new messy materials. Dress for mess and book a place by calling 01902 552507.

Parents, babies and toddlers can enjoy a relaxed and creative session at the art gallery in workshops giving the little ones a chance to experience a range of sensory materials.

The workshops from 11am to 12.15pm and 1.15pm to 2.30pm cost £5 per child and booking is essential workshops@scarf4art.co.uk.

A Halloween party ends the half term fun at the gallery on Friday 28 October from 12pm to 4pm. Children can drop in and join in the fun by dressing up in spooky costumes, face painting and model making. The event costs £5 per child.

Councillor John Reynolds, Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "We've got the time and space at Bilston and Wolverhampton galleries - all we want is families to turn up and have some half term fun."
