The council has been given a 'clean bill of health' following the publication of the latest annual statement of accounts which sets out its financial performance for the 2012 to 2013 year.
The council, like all large companies and public sector organisations has a legal requirement to produce a statement of accounts each year.
The verdict comes from external auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers who are appointed by the Government to review the statement before it is published.
It summarises income and expenditure for the past year and balances at March 31.
