The awards recognise organisations that have engaged with and contributed to the SNSC programme's work to promote active travel habits and encourage people to cut down on car use.
More than a hundred people attended the event, at Maple House, Birmingham, with Wolverhampton businesses receiving nominations in all categories.
City of Wolverhampton Council was highly commended in the category of Outstanding Achievement Award for Most Improved Organisation 2012 to 2016, while the council's Professional Lead - Sustainable Travel, Linda Downing, was highly commended in the Most Proactive Travel Plan Co-ordinator 2015/2016 category.
Wolverhampton business, Wiggle, won the award for Most Improved Business 2015 to 2016.
Councillor Peter Bilson, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for City Assets, said: "This demonstrates Wolverhampton is right up there in delivering projects and schemes to promote active travel habits and greener travel.
"Linda is part of a strong team looking after Wolverhampton's Active Travel Strategy and fully deserves this recognition.
"Wiggle has proved a great addition to our city employers and I would like to congratulate them on their award.
"Having a company with sport as its driver can only inspire people in Wolverhampton to become more active and lead healthy lifestyles."
