Help at the Hub takes place on Wednesday 21 August from 11am to 2pm in the Wolves at Work Office, Unit 5, i10 Building, Railway Drive, WV1 1LH.
The event has been organised by officers at City of Wolverhampton Council’s Public Protection Scams Team who will be handing out free scams awareness and prevention packs.
Representatives from Access to Business, Aquarius, Carer Support, Central Health, Compton Care, Cost of Living, Healthwatch, Public Protection, Shared Lives, SUIT, Waste Services, Wolverhampton College, Wolves Foundation, Wolverhampton Homes and Wolves at Work will all be available at the event.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Stephen Simkins said: ‘The cost of living continues to present real challenges for everyone financially. At the council, we try to do all we can to assist our residents access the support available.
“I hope as many as possible are able to attend next week’s Help at the Hub event to find out more on how they could benefit from the help of the various initiatives in attendance.”
Councillor Bhupinder Gakhal, City of Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member for resident services, said: “Help at the Hub continues to offer our residents help and a wide range of organisations will be available at the event to offer their support.
“People can often deal with challenging circumstances and situations throughout their lives and these events bring together the right people to offer help and guidance.
“Whether residents need help with concerns about health, advice on security or would like to discover ways to develop skills and find opportunities for learning, I would encourage them to pop along to Help at the Hub and find the help they need.”
People do not have to book an appointment but are asked to please be prepared to wait if the event is busy.
