It's Time To Talk, which will take place in the Mander and Wulfrun shopping centres next week, will give people the chance to find out more about the help and support available to them - and say what's on their mind.
Advice will be on offer from more than a dozen local organisations, including Wolverhampton City Council, Midland Heart, Heantun Housing and Hear Our Voice, while there will also be musical entertainment and holistic therapies such as reiki, yoga and nail art, to help people relax.
Meanwhile the Wolverhampton Mental Health Directory will also be officially launched during the event. The directory lists key partner agencies across the voluntary, statutory and health sectors which provide help and support for people at risk of, or recovering from ill-mental health.
Councillor Steve Evans, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Services, said: "One in 4 people will be affected by a mental health issue in their lifetime, so it is an important issue for our city.
"The theme of this year's World Mental Health Week is that It's Time To Talk - and we'll be letting people know that it is okay to talk about mental health issues.
"Experts will be on hand to talk about the sort of support that is available in Wolverhampton, and there will be a range of events and activities for people to get involved in.
"We will also be finding out what's worrying Wolverhampton by asking people to tell us what is on their mind."
It's Time To Talk takes place in the Mander and Wulfrun Centres on Wednesday and Thursday 9 and 10 October, 2013, between 9.30am to 4.30pm.
