Pupils have been busy preparing for Canada Day at a nursery in Wolverhampton.

Ashmore Park Nursery pupils drew pictures of Canadian landmarks and learned all about the country.

The event was organised by Wednesfield North Councillor Phil Bateman, who is Canadian and is also a governor at Ashmore Park Nursery.

It took place on Wednesday (26 June, 2013), just days before Wolverhampton itself will raise the national flag of Canada on the piazza outside the Civic Centre to mark Canada Day today (Monday 1, July).
