Carers in Wolverhampton are being invited to help shape a new digital support offer.

The City of Wolverhampton Council’s Carer Support Team is looking to refresh its website to make it more user friendly and add other tools that can support people in their caring role.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, Cabinet Member for Adults and Wellbeing, said: “We want to work with carers to understand what information, advice and support they need to care for their loved ones, whilst maintaining their own health and wellbeing.

“We want to find out what barriers, if any, they face when searching for information online, and what steps we could take to make things easier for them.

“We would like to hear from carers who would be willing to work with us to develop an online offer which is easily accessible and user friendly. Our aim to improve our online digital experiences for carers of all ages.”

Anyone who would like to volunteer for this role is asked to please register their interest via Expressions of Interest for Digital Offer for Carers. Councillor Jaspal added: “Your participation will help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of carers and those they care for.”

Wolverhampton's Carer Support Team has been helping carers in Wolverhampton for over 20 years, providing practical information, advice and guidance, Carer's Assessments, benefits advice, emotional support, training and more.
