Adult learners who took GCSEs in the two subjects secured a 100% pass rate with Adult Education Wolverhampton this year, with the provider offering a total of 32 different courses in English and Maths.
Prospective learners will not need to pay to take an English or Maths course, or exam and assessment fees, if they do not yet have a GCSE grade 9-4 (A*- C) or above in English or Maths.

“Studying English will help you express yourself more confidently in all sorts of situations. Having good reading, writing and communication skills is key to getting a good job, succeeding when studying other subjects, and coping well with everyday life.
“Maths is incredibly important in our lives and, without realising it, you will use it every day. Maths improves your timekeeping, helps you to manage your finances and improves your job prospects.
“All our teachers are experts in their particular areas, they have many years’ experience of teaching and will make learning these subjects fun and relevant.”
Tamicka Campbell Morris, a GCSE English student, said: “My 16-year-old son was also studying for his GCSE so working together was a great motivation. I wanted to show him that if I could conquer my problems and gain a qualification this would motivate him to do the same.
“My course at Adult Education Wolverhampton was great. The teaching style was creative and made learning a fantastic experience.
“Finishing the course has made a great impact on my self-esteem, it’s boosted my confidence and made me realise that I am capable of progressing in learning and life. It has given me a real feel-good factor and a qualification that will be beneficial to my future career prospects.”
