Wolverhampton City Council's Community Development Team has teamed up with the club to give youngsters aged 8 to 15 the opportunity to try out track events including running and hurdling and field events like the high, long and triple jumps, javelin, discus and shot putt.
Councillor Elias Mattu, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Leisure and Communities, said: "These sessions are run by qualified coaches from Wolverhampton and Bilston Athletics Club, ensuring that children will be in safe hands and get all the support they need.
"Not only will those taking part have the chance to try out new sports, but they will also get a free membership to Wolverhampton and Bilston Athletics Club until the end of 2013."
Aviva Star:Track Athletics will take place at Aldersley Leisure Village from Monday 29 July, 2013, until Friday 2 August, 2013, between 9am and 3pm each day. Places for the week are £37 per person and should be reserved in advance.
