A group of former learners who studied Level 3 Art and Design and other creative programmes have been invited to exhibit their artwork in Where Art Thou Now?, an exhibition which will celebrate their progression from the Adult Education Service to graduation and beyond.
The display of highlights how former students have gone on to launch successful careers in the world of art and design after starting their academic journey with the Adult Education Service. Many are now either working artists, studying at a higher level or taking their first steps into creative industries.
Councillor Claire Darke, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Education, said: "This new exhibition records the progress of learners from their time with the Adult Education Service to where they are today in their careers and as artists.
"It really goes to show how people can develop their skills and transform what may have simply been a hobby or ambition into a full time career."
Where Art Thou Now? is on show from Thursday 22 October, 2015, until Thursday 14 January, 2016. The Adult Education Service is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4pm on Fridays during term times only.
