Through Wolverhampton's "Outstanding" Adult Education Service, they took Level 3 qualifications designed to give them the skills needed to either study their chosen subject at university or get into work.
The advanced Level 3 courses include Access to Higher Education Diplomas in Business & Accounting, Education & Training, Health, Music Technology and Social Sciences, a BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art & Design and British Sign Language.
Other Level 3 qualifications offered by the Adult Education Service include a Diploma in Early Years Education, Specialist Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and an Award in Education &Training.
Students who successfully completed their course earlier this year will take part in a celebration event hosted by the Adult Education Service on Monday 20 July, 2015.
Meanwhile, prospective adult learners can find out more about the Level 3 qualifications at a special open day at the City Learning Quarter, Old Hall Street next Wednesday (15 July) from 10am to 7pm.
Councillor Claire Darke, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Education, said: "Level 3 qualifications introduce students to the skills they need to study a particular subject at university or develop a career in that field."
Level 3 courses are just one type of qualification offered by Wolverhampton's Adult Education Service which was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in its most recent inspection, published in January 2015.
