Our service standards

Our latest assessment shows we respond to 90% of enquiries on time.

We aim to respond to all enquiries as quickly as possible. Our response times are set depending on the issue.

Emergency issues

We will respond to the following types of reports immediately.

A report that:

  • someone is felling a council tree
  • someone is pruning a council tree
  • a tree has fallen onto public land, the highway or adjoining private property
  • a tree is about to fall onto public land, the highway or adjoining private property
  • the council's tree service is acting improperly
  • the council's tree service is causing damage to property

Priority issues

We will carry out inspections within 5 working days.

We will tell you the result of the inspection and any work we carried out.

A report that:

  • a council tree is touching a building
  • a council tree is causing non-life-threatening damage
  • a council tree is obscuring a traffic light or warning sign

Routine issues

We will carry out inspections within 4 weeks.

We will tell you the result of the inspection and any work we carried out.

  • a request to remove low branches from a council tree
  • a report that a council tree is blocking a street light or obscuring a street sign
