We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for EYFS who will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. 

This may involve planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups or short term for whole classes including monitoring pupils and assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress, and development. 

You will: 

  • assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning 
  • have a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum 
  • organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources 
  • have the ability to support pupils working at all levels and promote inclusion within the classroom  
  • have a passion for supporting EAL pupils 
  • have high expectations of self and others
  • be resilient and have a positive nature
  • ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop 
  • be committed to working within a team to continue to provide high quality services for our pupils and families 
  • demonstrate a genuine love of learning for self and others
  • meet Professional Standards for HLTA status or have equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 4) 
  • have excellent numeracy/literacy skills - equivalent to level 2 in English and Maths
