There will also be elections for the West Midlands Combined Authority Mayor (CAM) and elections for a Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the West Midlands Police area taking place on the same day, so you will be issued with three ballot papers. The ballot paper for the council election will be a lilac colour, the ballot paper for the Mayoral election will be yellow and the ballot paper for the PCC election will be green.
Every registered voter will receive two poll cards for this year’s May elections due to the late confirmation of the Police and Crime Commissioner elections taking place on 2 May. The Returning Officer has a legal duty to send a poll card advising electors of the elections being held on 2 May. The Returning Officer was not able to send one poll card for all three elections taking place in May due to the late confirmation, so a second poll card relating specifically to the PCC elections will be sent to every registered voter.
